FRANKFURT, Aug 31 (Reuters) - Shares in Nordex rose up to 3.2 percent on Tuesday after the German federal cartel office said that the Ventus Venture Fund has filed plans to increase its stake in the wind turbine maker's to more than 25 percent.
Ventus Venture Fund currently holds a 22 percent stake in Nordex and intends to increase its stake to 'more than 25 percent', a spokesman of the cartel office told Reuters.
Ventus is a fund of the German entrepreneur family Klatten, which also has stakes in Altana, BMW und SGL Carbon.
Jan Klatten is also a supervisory board member of Nordex.
The company -- which generates nearly all of its sales in Europe -- said earlier this month that it expects a slight rise in sales this year despite posting a mixed bag of second quarter results..
Nordex refused to comment on the news, Ventus was not immediately available for comment.
