CAIRO, Sept 29 (Reuters) - Orascom Telecom and Mobinil are part of a consortium due to be awarded a licence from the Egyptian government to offer triple-play services, the country's communications minister said.
'We have earlier launched two licences that were awarded to two companies. The first is Teletech and the second is Link with Orascom. Today we will sign with the first consortium,' Tarek Kamel said on the sidelines of a conference in Cairo.
A second triple-play licence will be signed 'within weeks' he added.
