Under the terms of their broadened alliance, Siebel Systems will port Siebel CRM, Enterprise Edition to Solaris(TM) Operating System for x86 platforms. When the port is complete, Siebel customers seeking cost-effective CRM solutions will be able to run Siebel Enterprise Edition on Solaris for Sun's volume systems.
The companies are also announcing market leading UNIX(R) price/performance ratio and scalability results from a benchmark of 10,000 users running the Siebel Platform Sizing and Performance Program (PSPP). The Siebel PSPP simulates deployments across large global enterprises, including employees, partners and customer using Siebel Sales, Service, and Marketing solutions.
