LONDON (AFX) - Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said it affirmed its AA+ long-term and A-1+ short-term sovereign credit ratings on the kingdom of Belgium.
The outlook is stable, S&P said.
"Belgium's strong credit standing reflects an affluent and comparatively advanced economy beset by a heavy general government debt burden and limited fiscal flexibility," said S&P's credit analyst Remy Salters.
