ZURICH (AFX) - Share prices closed flat but off intra-day lows after Wall Street moved into positive territory, with insurers and banks handing back recent gains and Baloise the top climber on the back of strong full-year results, traders said.
At the close, the SMI was 2.78 points lower at 8,056.64, and the SPI down 1.70 points at 6,173.81.
The euro was slightly higher against the franc at 1.5742 sfr, as was the dollar, at 1.3011 sfr.
