Kyocera's FS-2000D, FS-3900DN and FS-4000DN Printers Now Certified
for Use with MEDITECH's MAGIC Operating System
Kyocera Mita America, one of the world's leading document imaging companies, today announced that its latest line of workgroup monochrome printers has been certified by Medical Information Technology, Inc. (MEDITECH) for use in healthcare environments. This certification verifies that Kyocera's FS-2000D, FS-3900DN and FS-4000DN printer models are fully compatible with MEDITECH's MAGIC operating system, which provides a structured, easy to use programming language to more than 1,500 healthcare organizations worldwide.
As part of the certification process, MEDITECH prints sample reports in various formats from all MEDITECH MAGIC applications to the printer in question. MEDITECH compares the quality of those prints to a master set of prints, confirming that the shading, borders and each of the characters match precisely. MEDITECH also tests the printer's TCP/IP ports and verifies its network interface card responds appropriately to more than one request.
"Healthcare environments are fast-paced and require powerful, efficient and reliable document output," said William Cassidy, associate director, product and solutions marketing, Kyocera Mita America. "By certifying our newest printer line, MEDITECH has confirmed that Kyocera meets the demands of hospitals, doctors' offices and other healthcare environments."
The FS-2000D, FS-3900DN and FS-4000DN are strong workhorse printers that deliver 31 pages per minute (ppm), 37 ppm and 47 ppm output, respectively. Each model features standard duplexing and true 1,200 x 1,200 dpi, which generates high quality text, images and graphics. 10/100BaseTX Ethernet connectivity out of the box comes standard with the FS-3900DN and FS-4000, enabling seamless network integration.
Availability
The FS-2000D, FS-3900DN and FS-4000DN are available through authorized Kyocera dealers at an MSRP of $1,054.00, $1,447.00 and $1,676.00 respectively. To find the nearest dealer, log onto Kyocera Mita America's dealer locator at www.kyoceramita.com/us.
