COPENHAGEN (AFX) - Share prices closed slightly higher, supported by gains in AP Moeller-Maersk and Vestas Wind Systems, the latter rising ahead of next week's interim earnings, brokers said.
The OMXC20 index closed 1.88 points higher at 381.53 and the OMXCB Benchmark index was up 1.53 points at 364.04.
The OMXC All Share index closed 1.64 points higher at 362.54 and total turnover amounted to 5.38 bln dkr.
The AP Moeller-Maersk A-shares closed 800 dkr higher at 43,000 while its B-shares were up 700 at 43,900, lifted by news that the group has sold six Boeing B737-700s to Aircastle Limited for around 165 mln usd.
Vestas Wind Systems closed 0.75 higher at 172 ahead of next week's results. The consensus is for an operating profit of 51 mln eur for the first six months of the year, a huge improvement from the loss of 78 mln the year earlier, and analysts said they believe the wind turbine maker is likely to raise its guidance for the full-year 2006.
DSV was up 4 at 981.
William Demant Holding fell 3 to 439 as UBS cut its rating to 'reduce' from 'neutral' citing limited risk for earnings upgrades and recent market slowdown.
GN Store Nord was down 0.5 at 84.5.
Carlsberg was down 2.5 at 454.5 while Danisco was up 4 a 441.
Novo Nordisk rose 0.5 to 417.5 and Lundbeck was up 1.75 at 135.5, supported by the firmer dollar.
