OSLO (AFX) - Schibsted ASA said its Aftonbladet newspaper group will launch a free newspaper on Oct 2, to be called .SE, in the Swedish cities of Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmoe.
.SE is expected to contribute with an operating loss of around 50 mln skr for 2006, falling to a loss of 135 mln skr in 2007.
However, adjusted for extra advertising revenues for the Aftonbladet group, the operating loss from the free sheet project is expected to be around 80 mln skr in 2007.
Schibsted also said that .SE is expected to become profitable after three years of operation. karin.jensen@afxnews.com kj/rw COPYRIGHT Copyright AFX News Limited 2005. All rights reserved.
