VANCOUVER, Oct. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- YGC Resources Ltd. (Toronto Stock Exchange: YGC; Frankfurt Xetra Exchange: ZH6) announces further results of the ongoing drill program from the Manto Gold Zone on the wholly-owned, past producing, Ketza River property located near Ross River, in the Yukon Territory, Canada.
"These results are likely to produce an increase in the property's potentially open-pittable resources," said YGC President, Graham Dickson. Resources were last estimated in October 2005 and were:
Classification Tonnage Gold g/t Contained ounces Cut-off
Measured 1,410,000 3.54 160,500 1.0 g/t
Indicated 7,130,000 2.60 596,200 1.0 g/t
Inferred 14,580,000 2.25 1,054,000 1.0 g/t
"An updated resource estimate will be carried out, by the end of October, as part of the pre-feasibility study due for completion by the end of December 2006."
The northern margin of the Lab Zone manto was the focus of continued drilling from mid June through mid July. Eleven drill holes were completed, following up on the encouraging results reported in the March 27, 2006 news release. The drill holes explored the area around drill-hole KR-88-288, which intersected a 30 meter zone of strongly anomalous gold, with assays up to 30.85 g/t Au. High gold values were intersected in several holes, with the highlight being 17.34 g/t over a true thickness of 3.14 meters in drill-hole KR-06-836. Another intercept, 1.52 meters of 23.50 g/t gold, was obtained in hole KR-06-851; this intercept is 20 meters to the northwest of hole KR-88-288, in the direction of a strong, gold soil anomaly and, more significantly, very limited previous drilling.
