Callidus Software CEO to Discuss Sales Force Incentive Compensation Strategies at Software Business Conference 2006

SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Callidus Software Inc. , the leading provider of Enterprise Incentive Management (EIM) software, today announced that Robert Youngjohns, president and CEO of Callidus Software, will speak at the Fifth Annual Software Business Conference to be held October 17-18 in Denver, Colo. at the Hyatt Regency Tech Center. Youngjohns' session titled "Incentive Compensation Strategies as a Strategic Tool" will begin at 1:30 p.m. MT on Tuesday, October 17, as part of the conference sessions to cover finance topics.

The session will introduce software executives to powerful strategies that support the on-going design of sales compensation and incentive programs. Youngjohns will discuss how software companies can continually align sales performance with their overall and bottom line business objectives. Software Business 2006 attendees will walk away with new strategies and tools to help them further drive revenue and/or shareholder value inside private and public software companies.

"There is a lively discussion going on right now around the topic of incentives and compensations amongst executives within the software industry," said John Cargile, program chairman of the event. "We invited Callidus Software's CEO to speak because software executives have a genuine interest in learning best practices for properly paying and motivating their sales forces. With Youngjohns' vast sales, software and technological background, we know he can offer substantial insights and welcome advice to our conference attendees," added Cargile.

Robert Youngjohns has spent more than 30 years in leadership positions with global software companies. Prior to leading EIM-leader Callidus Software, he headed Sun Microsystems' global sales force of more than 13,000 sales employees. Before his ten years with Sun, Youngjohns spent 18 years at IBM Corp., and held several sales positions including director of the company's RS/6000 business for the EMEA region and for the United Kingdom. He holds an M.A. (with Honors) in Physics and Philosophy from Oxford University.
