Tide(R) and Citysearch Reveal Cincinnati's Montgomery Inn's World Famous Ribs as 'America's Favorite Stain'

CINCINNATI, June 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- In January, Tide(R) partnered with Citysearch -- a leading online guide -- to conduct a nationwide poll to reveal "America's Favorite Stains" -- the stains that result from enjoying the people, places, and moments Americans love best. Tens of thousands of people across the country voted, and Cincinnati's Montgomery Inn emerged as the national winner, with its World Famous Ribs earning the distinction of "America's Favorite Stain." Citysearch experts selected nearly 100 establishments from 25 cities across the country -- including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, and Miami -- as nominees for the nationwide survey.

In addition to the National Winner, each city had a hometown "favorite stain," with winners ranging from Nathan's Hot Dogs in New York City to Johnny's Po-Boys in New Orleans. Various city winners will be throwing celebration events to commemorate their newfound honor in an attempt to give back to the residents who loyally voted for their signature dishes.

To commemorate Montgomery Inn's victory, Tide is also partnering with America's Second Harvest to help give "loads of hope" to the Cincinnati community. In the days following the celebration event, the Tide CleanStart truck will be washing, drying and folding laundry, free of charge, for Cincinnati residents in need.
