Credit Suisse hires Merrill banker Grundy

LONDON, March 30 (Reuters) - Credit Suisse has hired Jonathan Grundy as head of energy for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), according to an internal memo seen by Reuters on Monday.

Grundy will join in July and was most recently global head of energy and power at Merrill Lynch Bank of America and sat on the global investment banking executive committee of the U.S. bank.

Grundy has advised clients on a range of deals in the energy sector. He has advised Scottish Power on its sale to Iberdrola and Suez on its merger with Gaz de France .
