Article Focuses on Comparison Shopping Engine’s AIR™ Technology

The article, Ranking Billions of Web Pages Using Diodes, was written by Rohit Kaul, Yeogirl Yun, and Dr. Seong-Gon Kim and discusses the practical significance of the technology behind AIR ranking compared to other link-based ranking algorithms against search engine spamming techniques. Through an experiment comparing AIR to other rank algorithms, the article proves AIR to be most resilient to link spam. Further, it exposes fundamental flaws that could be exploited by spammers that AIR ranking technology accounts for in its algorithm.
