SYDNEY, Dec 17 (Reuters) - French insurer AXA SA said on Thursday that it had not held any talks with National Australia Bank Ltd regarding NAB's rival proposal to acquire the local assets of AXA Asia Pacific Holdings.
AXA SA, which owns 54 percent of AXA Asia Pacific, said in a statement it would review the situation in light of its exclusivity agreement with AMP Ltd. AXA SA and AMP previously lodged a bid for AXA Asia Pacific, but this was rejected by the subsidiary's independent directors.
