Fujitsu to keep chip business -incoming president

TOKYO, Jan 22 (Reuters) - Japan's Fujitsu Ltd will continue its system chip business for the time being, the incoming president of the IT services firm said on Friday.

Masami Yamamoto is due to take the helm of the firm starting in April. He will take over a company that analysts have said is long overdue for costs cuts and struggling to keep up with bigger rivals IBM, Hewlett-Packard and Dell.

Yamamoto was speaking at a news conference in Tokyo.
