
Professional Healthcare Hospice Foundation is pleased to announce the fifth annual Emily Schindler Lecture, to be held at the Meeting House in Columbia, MD on Friday March 19, 2010 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 pm. The lecture will be entitled ""The Meaning of Life: Lessons Learned from the Suicidal Patient" and will feature world renowned suicidologist and author, David Jobes, PhD., ABPP. Dr. Jobes is Professor of Clinical Psychology and Co-Director of Clinical Training at The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC.
Social Workers who attend the session will have the opportunity to obtain CEUs, although the event is open to anyone with an interest in the topic. Breakfast will be provided to all attendees.

About Emily Schindler
Emily Schindler was an 18 year old freshman at Frostberg State University when she was tragically killed in a car accident. Emily is the daughter of Charles and Jane Schindler. Jane was a social worker with the Saint Agnes Hospital Hospice Program, the former name for the Professional Healthcare Resources Hospice Program, and the Saint Agnes Cancer Center. The Emily Schindler Memorial Lecture was established in 2005 through a gift to the Schindler Family from The Saint Agnes Cancer Center.
Emily exemplified team spirit by encouraging others to be positive. She brought happiness wherever she went and loved life. Emily is thought of and missed every day.
