TABLE-Belgian Jan new car registrations up 3.5 pct y/y

BRUSSELS, Feb 1 (Reuters) - The Belgian Federation of Car Industries (Febiac) released on Monday the following monthly data:



New car registrations Jan 2010 Dec 2009 Jan 2009

Total for the month 49,376 26,449 47,690

Year-on-year change (pct) 3.54 21.12 -16.11

Year-to-date total - 476,194 -

Cumulative change (pct) - -11.15 -



Figures also showed that brands distributed by D'Ieteren , Belgium's largest auto retailer, had a market share of 18.7 percent for Jan compared with 21.3 for Jan 2009.

D'Ieteren distributes Volkswagen, Seat, Audi, Skoda, Bentley, Porsche and Lamborghini cars.



NOTE - The market shares include cars bought abroad but registered in Belgium.
