EDF Energies Nouvelles (Paris:EEN) continues its wind energy expansion in Europe and announces the commissioning of the 18 MW Skopies wind farm in Greece.
Located in Beotia, in the North West of Athens, this wind farm is equipped with six turbines, each of 3 MW, supplied by Danish manufacturer Vestas.
The Skopies facility is 75%-owned by EDF Energies Nouvelles Group through its Greek subsidiary EEN Hellas.
Established in Greece since 2005, EDF Energies Nouvelles became a major wind energy player of the country, and completes here its eighth Greek wind park. To date, EDF EN has commissioned 205.4 MW in gross capacity in the peninsula.
