Morgan Stanley starts gaming sector at 'in line'
Morgan Stanley on Wednesday started coverage on the U.S. gaming sector with an 'in-line' rating, saying that while the Macau market has a long-term growth profile, it didn't see a meaningful recovery in Las Vegas until 2011.
The firm added that it was bullish on the Singapore market, but noted that the sector has risen more than 40 percent so far in 2010.
Morgan Stanley rated Penn National Gaming Inc at 'overweight,' both Las Vegas Sands and Wynn Resorts at 'equal-weight' and Boyd Gaming Corp at 'underweight.'

Dialysis Corp rallies on deal to go private
Dialysis Corporation of America agreed to be acquired by privately held U.S. Renal Care Inc for about $112 million, the companies said.
U.S. Renal Care will pay Dialysis Corp $11.25 per share, a premium of more than 70 percent to Dialysis Corp stock's closing price Tuesday on Nasdaq.

S&P hits 1,200 on upbeat earnings and data
U.S. stocks rose at the open on Wednesday boosted by stronger-than-expected results from JPMorgan Chase and Intel, and after retail sales data provided fresh evidence of an economic recovery.
The benchmark S&P 500 stock index shot above the key 1,200 level for the first time since September 2008, lifting the index nearly 77 percent from a more than 12 year low in March 2009.
The Dow Jones industrial average gained 36.20 points, or 0.33 percent, to 11,055.62. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index rose 4.96 points, or 0.41 percent, to 1,202.26. The Nasdaq Composite Index added 17.39 points, or 0.71 percent, to 2,483.38.

Nomura starts Goldman, Morgan Stanley
Nomura started coverage of Goldman Sachs Group Inc with a 'buy' rating and a price target of $210, and of Morgan Stanley with a 'neutral' rating and a price target of $32.
The brokerage also lifted its price target on Deutsche Bank AG to 60 EUR from 50 EUR.
Goldman shares rose 2 percent to $182.90 and Morgan Stanley gained 1.5 percent to $30.93, while U.S.-traded shares of Deutsche Bank were up 3.6 percent to $81.
Top U.S. bank shares rose in premarket trading on Wednesday boosted in part by JPMorgan's better-than-expected results.

BofA names outsider as CFO
Bank of America Corp named outsider Charles Noski its next chief financial officer, filling a key position that has been vacant for months, the Charlotte, North Carolina, bank said on Wednesday.
Noski, 57, who will become CFO on May 11, most recently was CFO of defense contractor Northrop Grumman Corp, from where he left in 2005. For details see.
The bank's shares rose 2.2 percent to $19.08 in premarket trading boosted in part by JPMorgan's better-than-expected results.

Brokerages raise Intel price target after results
Intel Corp shares rose 5.1 percent to $23.92 in premarket trading on Wednesday, a day after world's top chip maker posted stellar first-quarter results, underpinning expectations of a rebound in the technology sector.
