SINGAPORE, June 21 (Reuters) - Singapore's Neptune Orient
Lines (NOL), the world's fifth-biggest container
shipping firm, said on Monday it carried 34 percent more
containers in the four weeks to May 28 compared with a year ago.
NOL said in a statement it carried the equivalent of 212,600
40
foot containers (FEUs) on its ships in the period, up from
159,100 a year earlier, as intra-Asia and trans
Pacific trade continued to recover.
The average revenue in the period from each container rose to $2,768, up 19 percent from a year earlier.
