NEW DELHI, July 22 (Reuters) - Indian state-run explorer Oil and Natural Gas Corp may partner with government-run Oil India and GAIL to buy BP's stake in an offshore Vietnam gas field, ONGC's head said on Thursday.
'We may take Oil India and GAIL with us. Modalities are being worked out. We may partner PetroVietnam. It all depends on discussions and negotiations,' R.S. Sharma told Reuters from Vietnam.
Earlier, Indian Oil Minister Murli Deora said ONGC and PetroVietnam were considering a joint bid for the BP stake.
