Stifel starts medical devices sector at 'neutral'

The brokerage said healthcare utilization continues to moderate, as the slow economy weighs on patients and payers and pricing remains challenging.
'With no near-term catalysts to reverse these trends, we believe there is limited potential for upside to current earnings expectations, preventing the group from outperforming the broader market,' analyst Charles Chon wrote in a research note.
