Ramsell Holding Corporation, a healthcare-focused company dedicated to developing public health solutions, announced today that it recently became a major donor to the "Remember Them: Champions for Humanity" bronze monument. The monument, which is scheduled to be installed on September 11, 2011, and will be located next to the Fox Theatre in the Uptown Park neighborhood of downtown Oakland, is an inspiring, larger-than-life bronze sculpture that depicts 25 diverse role models who have made significant contributions toward global peace, freedom and human rights. It will be the largest such bronze sculpture in the western United States.
"The sculpture is designed to educate as well as inspire the public to deepen its personal commitment to humanitarian values and actions in their own lives and communities. This is close to our own mission and values, which is why we're proud to support the artwork and its overarching mission," said Eric Flowers, President and Chief Executive Officer of Ramsell Holding Corporation.
Ramsell and its family of companies have been in Oakland since 1967 and have a long history of being committed to the community and serving the underserved and those who are less fortunate. Ramsell salutes the Oakland Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce Foundation and Mario Chiodo, the sculptor and visionary behind the project, for their leadership.
