BANGKOK, Sept 24 (Reuters) - Thai stocks are expected to move
narrowly on Friday as foreign fund inflows could be slowed by
weak sentiment in overseas markets hit by worries over the health
of the world's largest economy.
Most Asian bourses were lower in early trade following falling Wall Street after data showed U.S. jobless claims had risen unexpectedly in the latest week, a sign the labor market still faces headwinds.
'Our market could swing in a narrow band given weak external factors. However, high oil prices should continue to spur buying of energy firms,' an analyst at Far East Securities said.
The main index is expected to move in a range of
940
950 points, he said.
On Thursday, the benchmark SET index closed up 0.22 percent at 947.10, at one point rising to a new high since November 1996 of 957.22, helped by big foreign buying this week.

STOCKS AND FACTORS TO WATCH
- Telecom companies
A court ordered the halt of a third-generation mobile licence auction, a move which set the country back another few years in its attempt to adopt high-speed mobile phone services, sending local telco shares sharply lower.
- The Finance Ministry said it had launched a series of widely flagged measures to relax restrictions on capital outflows, aimed at slowing the rise in the baht, which is at a
