KITIGAN ZIBI ANISHINABEG FIRST NATION, QUEBEC -- (Marketwired) -- 10/07/14 -- The Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg First Nation community Chief and Band Council put Canada, Quebec and Ontario on Notice on October 3, 2014 and such in light of the Tsilhqot'in Supreme Court of Canada decision which was handed down on June 26, 2014. The Chief and Band Council stated in their letter, "Our traditional territory has always been and continues to be, Unceded. We hereby put Canada, Quebec and Ontario on notice that status quo, in which our Aboriginal title lands are taken up by governments and industry, is not acceptable".

"It is my sincere hope that Canada, Quebec and Ontario will not proceed in a belief that it is business as usual. The Tsilhqot'in case has come to significantly change the legal landscape" stated Chief Gilbert W. Whiteduck.
