AMSTERDAM (dpa-AFX) - Dutch banking firm ING Group (ING) Friday said it paid 1.025 billion euros to the Dutch State, as a final repayment on the core Tier 1 securities. The payment, which was approved by the Dutch Central Bank and the European Central Bank included 683 million euros repayment of core Tier 1 securities and 342 million euros in interest and premium.
Including this final payment, the total amount paid to the Dutch State is 13.5 billion euros, giving the State an annualized return of 12.7 percent.
Since the amount has been funded from the company, the repayment has no impact on its capital ratios, ING said.
