BERLIN (dpa-AFX) - German engine manufacturer MTU Aero Engines AG (MTUAY.PK) said its Member of the Executive Board, and President MTU Maintenance, Stefan Weingartner, will leave the firm on his own request to take up a new professional challenge.
In its meeting today, MTU Aero Engines' Supervisory Board has decided to reduce the Management Board to 3 members. The tasks of Weingartner, who would accompany and support the change process, would be transferred to the other board functions. The responsibility for the locations of MTU Maintenance would be combined in the leadership of Rainer Martens as Chief Operating Officer. Sales and Marketing of MTU Maintenance would be integrated in the Board function of Programs headed by Michael Schreyoegg. This new structure would be effective at the start of 2015.
The new structure aims to streamline the organization and to guarantee a stronger integration of Commercial Maintenance and Program Business.
