WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Juniper Networks (JNPR) released a profit for its third quarter that rose compared to the same period last year.
The company said its bottom line totaled $222.0 million, or $0.58 per share. This was higher than $221.7 million, or $0.57 per share, in last year's third quarter.
Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.52 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The company said revenue for the quarter rose 3.2% to $1.29 billion. This was up from $1.25 billion last year.
