PalmOne global operations chief hired by Cisco

SAN FRANCISCO (AFX) -- PalmOne said Monday that its head of of global operations, Angel Mendez, will leave the company to become senior vice president of worldwide manufacturing at Cisco Systems . The company said it has started looking for a replacement. Mendez, 44, will stay at PalmOne until the end of the first quarter to help the transition to new leadership, the company added.
