Carlsberg German unit buys beverage wholesaler Goettsche Getraenke

COPENHAGEN (AFX) - Carlsberg AS said its German unit Carlsberg Deutschland GmbH has acquired the beverage wholesale company Goettsche Getraenke Group, which was majority-owned by Charly Willems.

The company said the sale price will not be made public.

Goettsche Getraenke has sales of about 100 mln eur in northern Germany and Saxony. It has approximately 300 employees and supplies beer, water, soft drinks and wine to more than 1,000 customers.

The acquisition is subject to merger clearance by the German Federal Cartel Office.
