
FRANKFURT (AFX) - ThyssenKrupp AG's services unit said it has acquired through its subsidiary ThyssenKrupp Xervon GmbH the German service units of Standardkessel Group from Dutch finance holding HTP Investments BV, effective January 1.
No financial details were disclosed.
With this acquisition, ThyssenKrupp hopes to expand its maintenance service operations for the power generation and utility market.
Xervon is taking over 100 pct of LLS Standardkessel Service GmbH (LLS) and Baumgarte Boiler Service GmbH (BSG), as well as 74 pct of Siegfried Schlüssler Feuerungsbau GmbH (SSL).
Employing 340 staff, the companies generate combined annual sales of about 90 mln eur.
LLS Standardkessel Service supplies maintenance, upkeep, repair and efficiency enhancement of boilers in power generation plants as well as maintenance of flue-gas desulphurisation units and heat exchangers.
BSG provides maintenance, modernisation and conversion work especially for waste incinerators, while it specialises in refractory linings for boilers.
ThyssenKrupp Xervon intends to provide these maintenance, modernisation and conversion services under the name of ThyssenKrupp Xervon Energy.
