In his new role, Mr. Schaefer will be responsible for coordinating coverage of power and utility clients in the U.S.
Mr. Schaefer joins UBS from Lehman Brothers where he was a Managing Director in their Power Group. Mr. Schaefer joined Lehman from Salomon Brothers in 1998 and was responsible for power and natural resource accounts at both firms.

Mr. Schaefer earned his MBA in Finance (with Honors) from the University of Michigan in 1995 and his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Vermont in 1990. Mr. Schaefer was Alpine Ski Coach at University of Vermont in 1993 and guided the team to an NCAA Division 1 National Championship that year.
