
HONG KONG (XFN-ASIA) - Hutchison Whampoa Ltd chariman Li Ka-shing said the company has no plans at this stage to take its loss-making Australian mobile unit private.
Li made the statement in reply to queries about the company's plan to privatize Hutchison Telecom Australia. It was reported earlier that Hutchison was reviewing the planned privatization of the unit.
Separately, Li said the company does not plan to sell additional port assets.
In April, the company sold a 20 pct stake in its port operations to Singapore-based PSA International for 4.39 bln usd.
