Patrick Garner has been promoted to president -- Intersections Consumer Direct. Garner, who had served as Intersections' executive vice president -- strategic initiatives since February 2004, will retain his title of chief marketing officer. Prior to his work as executive vice president, Pat Garner served on Intersections' board of directors.
In his new role, Garner will develop and manage Intersections' Consumer Direct business group, one of the company's important strategic initiatives. Garner will adapt Intersections' innovative identity theft and fraud protection solutions, including its long proven credit monitoring service, trusted by many of North America's largest financial institutions, for direct to consumer marketing. Prior to The Motley Fool, Garner enjoyed a successful thirty year career in various positions with The Coca-Cola Company, eventually serving as president of the company's Southeast and West Asia Division.
