WeeWorld, creators of the WeeMee, the world's first multiplatform visual identity, today announced an agreement with Microsoft to provide dynamic and emotionally intelligent WeeMees for Windows Live Messenger users in the United States. Windows Live Messenger is the world's largest instant messaging (IM) networks, connecting more than 240 million active worldwide accounts each month. Users can visit www.wee-mee.com to create their own WeeMee and then download it to Windows Live Messenger.
"I love showing my different moods through animating my WeeMee," said Linda Bidrossian, a WeeWorld and Microsoft Live user. "I will use Microsoft's IM more with the WeeMee launch in the U.S. I have known about WeeMees in Europe for the last year and am excited that I can now use my WeeMee stateside and share it with more people."
WeeMees are personalized digital identities, which reflect their owners' looks, hairstyle, fashion sense, pets, pastimes, passions, pursuits, sports, tastes, and even emotions. WeeMees can travel with their owners across their entire digital lives, from IM and applications through to emails, blogs, forums and social networking communities, as well as onto cell phones, where they can be used as picture messages, wallpaper and even as a visual Caller ID.
This alliance marks another major expansion for WeeWorld's rapidly growing worldwide audience. Windows Live Messenger users in the United Kingdom, Spain, Belgium, Holland, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Australia and Canada are already creating and using WeeMees to personalize their online experience. WeeMees are extremely attractive to users with WeeWorld experiencing a conversion rate of more than 50 percent of all users finding the builder, and creating their own, personalized WeeMee.
Once a user has created their own WeeMee, it can be placed within an animated background inside the Windows Live Messenger client. From here, a WeeMee can respond to the user's emotions, showing animations for happiness, sadness, anger, confusion, boredom and even embarrassment. In addition, users can send WeeMee 'winks' to other people in their contact list. A wink is a custom animation which uses the whole Windows Live Messenger window.
"We're thrilled to welcome U.S. Windows Live Messenger users to WeeWorld," said Lauren Bigelow, General Manager, WeeWorld, North America. "Windows Live Messenger users abroad have already experienced how WeeMees can make their instant messages much more personal and a whole lot more fun. We look forward to offering the same level of personalized and dynamic elements to U.S. users as they integrate WeeMees into their IM experience."
