
MILAN (Thomson Financial) - German group Bertelsmann, helped by Goldman Sachs and an unspecified bank, could offer 1-1.2 bln eur to acquire Telecom Italia Media SpA, according to the Dagospia.it website, daily Il Sole 24 Ore reported.
Yesterday, Telecom Italia Media rallied on the back of the speculation reported by Dagospia to end up 6.54 pct to 0.284 eur, giving the company a market capitalisation of 916 mln eur.
Il Sole 24 Ore said Bertelsmann, Goldman Sachs, and Telecom Italia Media all declined to comment on the rumour.
