
Rev up your engines and get ready to ride, the second annual "Bikers for Tykes" will be on Sat., Oct. 13, in Chevy Chase at GEICO headquarters.
GEICO and PNC Bank along with Pepco, the Washington Post, and WPGC are hosting the music and motorcycle rally to raise money for NIH Children's Charities and Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington.
The event will start at 11:30 a.m. and features a Texas Hold'em poker tournament, best bike contest, and a best tattoo contest. On hand will be GEICO-sponsored extreme bikers CR Gittere, Sy Pelz, Christine Bradley, and "Big Rick" Hoffman, who built a gecko-inspired bike for the "Bikers for Tykes" online auction, www.ebay.com/geico. Former Pro Bowler and Redskin Brian Mitchell will be at the event along with the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders.
