LinkedIn Corporation, the world's largest online professional network, today announced the appointment of Ellen Levy as Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy.
Prior to joining LinkedIn, Levy was a member of LinkedIn's advisory board for five years. Working with the LinkedIn team since the company's founding has provided Levy with a thorough understanding of LinkedIn's fundamental values and culture. In her new position, Levy will play a critical role in overseeing business development, identifying and managing strategic partnerships and assessing new market opportunities.

Levy's wide range of experience includes work with startups, large companies, venture capital firms, research labs and universities. She currently still sits on the advisory boards of companies like Progress Financial and WeeWorld. Prior to joining LinkedIn, Levy wore a number of different hats in order to bridge people and ideas across various different industries. In addition to working with startups and venture capital firms, Levy also worked as the Director of Industry Collaboration and Research at Media X (a campus-wide network at Stanford University which fosters partnerships between companies, faculty and students), was the network advisor at Draper Fisher Jurvetson and she has even held the position of Deputy Chair,Global Health at the Clinton Global Initiative.
