
Members of the Professional Picture Framers Association (PPFA), a PMA member association, elected their 2009-2010 board of directors today at the PPFA Renaissance Luncheon and All-Member Meeting. Gene Ausili, The Picture Show, Valencia, Calif., succeeds Fran Gray, Roney’s Creative Picture Framing & Gallery, Florence, S.C., as association president. Gray assumes the role of immediate past president.
Also elected were Molly Webb, Webb Gallery II, Humble, Texas, as vice president and Ken Link, Picture This and More, Alton, Ill., as treasurer. Douglas Highfield, Art Enhancement Inc., Irving, Texas, will serve a second term as past president.
Serving as directors are: George Alvarez, The Integrated Framestudio Inc., Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; Quentin Webster, Framing Matters, Manuka, Australian Capital Territory, Australia; Jeannette King, The King’s Custom Framing, Wilmington, N.C.; Shirley Damon, Damon Galleries Ltd., Vienna, Va.; Stuart Altschuler, Prestige Framing Academy, Saugus, Mass.; and Ron Mason, Ron Mason’s Gallery One, Iowa City, Iowa. Ted Fox, Jackson, Mich., holds the office of secretary.
PPFA honored outgoing board members Bill Zimdar, Frames Unlimited Inc., Grand Rapids, Mich., and John Pruitt, The Frameworks, Carrollton, Texas. Also during the meeting, Service Award recipients and Membership Contest winners were announced.
