The Wall Street Green Trading Summit, the longest running and most comprehensive environmental market event in the industry, today announced that its founder, Peter Fusaro, will address the carbon trading and green finance audience. His presentation titled “The Bridge to Creating the Green Economy: From Wall Street to Green Street” will focus on the assets, resources and processes required to establish a green economy.
Peter Fusaro created the Wall Street Green Trading Summit eight years ago and is the chairman of Global Change Associates, an energy and environmental consulting company. Peter has guided dozens of start-up companies and has mentored hundreds of entrepreneurs in areas ranging from grass-roots economic development to carbon trading. A New Yorker, Peter is also the New York Times best-selling author of What Went Wrong at Enron. Last Monday, Peter had the honor of presiding over the NASAQ opening bell in Times Square.
“The creation of the green economy is an idea whose time has come,” commented Peter. “The key to creating the green economy is both legislatively and financially driven, using a combination of finance, technology, engineering and education. In fact, the market will track legislative changes for national renewable energy standards, national energy efficiency rules, and federal cap and trade legislation. Those regulatory changes will provide the policy framework of regulatory certainty providing financial certainty and will be proposed, debated and implemented as law this year.”
The Wall Street Green Trading Summit has a reputation for setting the stage for new ideas in environmental financial market innovation. Blessed with 61 practitioners in carbon trading and finance, renewable energy, cleantech, energy efficiency, green hedge funds, and carbon capture and storage, the Summit’s world-class speakers and panelists will talk about:
* Latest Innovations In Carbon Trading & Finance
* Insights Into Renewable Energy Market Opportunities
* Linkages of Cleantech Investment & Carbon Trading
* Strategies of Green Hedge Funds
