Fiesta Noche del Rio Raises Money for Children’s Charities, Offers Affordable Family Fun
If you’re looking for fun and affordable entertainment this summer for the whole family to enjoy, look no further than the San Antonio River Walk where each summer Fiesta Noche del Rio explodes with a virtual tour of the world through song and dance.
Produced each year by The Alamo Kiwanis Club, Fiesta Noche del Rio is the longest-running outdoor musical production of its kind in the U.S., having been produced every year since its inception in 1957.
The summer season begins May 15 and runs through August 8 with live performances at 8:30 p.m. every Friday and Saturday night at the historic Arneson River Theatre.
Tickets are some of the best deals you will find this summer as part of your Texas vacation, allowing the entire family to enjoy an evening under the stars without breaking the bank.
Adult tickets are $15; senior citizens $12; and children 6-14 $5. Group and military discounts are also available. For tickets, call 210-226-4651 or visit www.fiestanochedelrio.com.
Fiesta Noche del Rio is a professionally-produced, fast-paced and colorful musical revue, featuring beautifully-costumed dancers and singers with lively music from Mexico, Spain, Argentina, and Texas.
The show has been seen by more than one million locals and visitors from around the world and has raised more than $3 million to benefit local children’s charities.
“We take great pleasure in producing a quality show for nearly 10,000 tourists and conventioneers who visit our city each summer as well as families from all over the greater San Antonio area, the Hill Country, South Texas and Northern Mexico,” said 2009 chairman Ernest Mora.
