Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. announced today that Carmine Urciouli and Martin Teevan have been named Co-heads of Global Credit.
Shawn Matthews, CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald & Co., said “The strength of the global credit business and our commitment to the continued expansion in this spaces makes these moves necessary. We plan to add a substantial amount of key personnel with an emphasis on continuing to drive our global footprint outside the United States. Accounts are requesting that we develop and grow our customer facing platform and we are responding to their needs. Our goal is to be the best client facing broker dealer across the capital structure.”

In a short period of time, Cantor Fitzgerald has established a formidable presence in High Yield and Distressed Sales, Trading and Research across bonds and bank debt. Together, Mr. Teevan and Mr. Urciuoli intend to continue strengthening the value extended to clients by their team of experienced professionals. Mike Brennan will become Head of High Yield Sales. Mike has demonstrated a consummate team approach from day one and has been instrumental in building our credit foundation. Mike is a veteran of the high yield markets, having 15 years of experience at UBS and Credit Suisse. A recognized leader, Mike will be responsible for coordination of account coverage across our client base.
Brian Devaney is now Product Manager, Capital Markets. Given the firm’s expansion into Investment Banking, Brian will be the point person in coordinating dialogue between High Yield & Distressed Sales and Trading and our Leveraged Finance Banking team. Brian has been involved in new issue transactions throughout his career and has significant relationships across the U.S. client base that will be key elements of our firm’s growth in this area.
Jeremy Goldman becomes Head of Distressed Sales. Given Jeremy’s extensive credit expertise he will now be responsible for coordinating the marketing of our ideas and product amongst the Distressed and Special Situations client base.
Adam Vengrow becomes Cross Asset Trading Product Manager. Adam has already made a significant impact on the firm as a senior high yield debt trader. Adam’s tremendous experience across the capital structure has been extremely helpful in coordinating communication amongst our various fixed income products, convertible group and equity platform. Given Adam’s extensive experience, he will spearhead efforts along with continuing to coordinate communication and cross-selling within the firm.
John Hanauer has been promoted to Head of U.S. Investment Grade Trading. Prior to joining Cantor, John was Managing Director at UBS Securities where he traded credits across the curve. John brings over 25 years of fixed income trading experience and extensive client contacts to our platform. John’s depth and breath of experience and knowledge are helping to broaden our client reach both domestically and internationally.”
