On September 30, 2009, U.S.-based New Horizons Worldwide proudly announced it was open for business in London and throughout Great Britain with a spectacular grand opening celebration. The new flagship training center, in the heart of the London Business District, represents the first-ever location outside the U.S. that is owned and operated directly by New Horizons Worldwide. The Grand Opening event was attended by over 100 clients and guests including representatives from New Horizons key worldwide partners.
Microsoft Learning’s Chris Pirie, Worldwide General Manager of Sales and Marketing, spoke about the longstanding partnership between Microsoft and New Horizons around the globe, and how he especially admired the “innovation” that New Horizons had brought to the training industry. Cisco’s Adam Carter added his comments about the strength of the New Horizons and Cisco relationship, and New Horizons Worldwide CEO Mark Miller emphasized New Horizons’ commitment to the U.K. market.
Attendees were invited to one of New Horizons’ state-of-the-art classrooms to view a demonstration of the award-winning Mentored Learning™. Microsoft’s Alex Keay, after seeing the demo, had this to say: “Microsoft has a long established strategic relationship with New Horizons to provide training solutions globally. Microsoft UK has recognized that the New Horizons Mentored Learning method offers a truly innovative, high quality solution to training that is both efficient and effective. It allows you to meet training objectives and increase productivity through a flexible and fast approach to learning.”
“London and the U.K. generally is a critically important market, not only in its position amongst our 45 locations throughout Europe, but amongst our 300 locations around the world,” said Darius Shey, Group Vice President International. “I was thrilled to engage with so many of our partners, clients, and friends at the Grand Opening event, but more generally am thrilled about our ability to bring great training in such quality facilities to our customers in London.”
