
Summit Bancshares, Inc. (OTCBB: SMAL), the parent company of Summit Bank, announces that Mr. John F. Nohr has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Summit Bancshares, Inc. and Summit Bank.
Mr. Nohr is an Oakland native, attending schools in Oakland and Alameda and graduating from St. Joseph High School in 1958. He received his BS degree in Business Management and completed graduate studies in Real Estate from San Jose State University. After a stint in the US Army National Guard, he started working for Coldwell Banker. During his time there, he completed Real Estate extension courses from UC Berkeley.
Mr. Nohr has approximately forty years of experience in the Real Estate industry and brings a wealth of knowledge on loans and loan structuring to our board. He is a member of the Founders Group for the former Bank of Walnut Creek and remained on the board until their merger with First Republic Bank in 2006. Currently, he sits on the boards of many civic organizations.
