
Tickets are now on sale for the 70thannual PRCA Sisters Rodeo, scheduled for June 11-13 at the Sisters Rodeo grounds. Four exciting performances and a weekend of special events are planned for "The Biggest Little Show in the World."
Rodeo performances will be held Friday, June 11, 7 p.m.; Saturday, June 12, 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and Sunday, June 13, 1 p.m. Slack, on Thursday, June 10, is free to spectators.
The traditional rodeo parade will be held in downtown Sisters on Saturday, June 12, starting at 9:30 a.m. On Sunday, June 13, the Kiwanis Buckaroo Breakfast will be served from 7 – 11 a.m. and the Cowboy Church Service will be held at 9 a.m., both at the rodeo grounds.
Ticket prices range from $12 to $18. All seats are unreserved at $12 for the Friday evening performance with children 12 and under admitted free. Seating for all other performances are reserved. Group rates are available for 10 or more for the Sunday afternoon performance. Children six and under are admitted free in some sections on Sunday.
Shelby Ross, Sisters PRCA Rodeo Queen, will reign over the 70th anniversary rodeo. Each performance will feature the grand entry, team bronc riding, tie-down roping, bareback riding, steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding, team roping, bull riding, and barrel racing.
"We have had a big surge of ticket sales from November to now," said Cathy Williams, director of ticket sales. "We still have lots available, but we expect them to go fast, since we're celebrating a big anniversary."
The ticket office is open from 10-4 Monday through Friday.
John S. Payne, "The One Arm Bandit," will be the featured entertainment for all four performances and in the parade. A popular rodeo act who is returning to Sisters, Payne thrills crowds with his unique act of herding steers or buffalo from horseback with the aid of a Cur dog. He has performed throughout the United States, Canada and Europe.
