VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 06/11/10 -- The Fraser Institute will release its Report Card on Secondary Schools in British Columbia and the Yukon 2010 on Sunday, June 13 at 6:30 a.m. (Pacific).
This annual report is the only easily accessible, objective tool allowing parents and educators to compare the academic performance of 288 public and private secondary schools from across B.C. and the Yukon based on seven key indicators derived from Grade-12 provincewide exam results and grade-to-grade transition data provided by the B.C. Ministry of Education, which administers the school curriculum and provincial exams in both B.C. and the Yukon.
A news release with additional information will be issued via Marketwire on Sunday, June 13.
Michael Thomas, Fraser Institute associate director of school performance studies and co-author of the report card, will be in Vancouver and available for media interviews on Sunday, June 13 and the morning of Monday, June 14.
Detailed results for individual schools will be available at www.compareschoolrankings.org, the Fraser Institute's easy-to-use interactive website featuring tools for comparing the performance of schools included in the report card.
