CedarCrestone is honored to be selected as Oracle's 2010 recipient of the "Integration and SOA Solution" award presented at the 7th Annual Oracle North America Titan Award ceremony at Oracle OpenWorld this afternoon. The award acknowledges an outstanding solution that integrated a variety of technologies and uses Oracle technology, and/or clearly demonstrates the benefits and principles of implementing a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). In addition, CedarCrestone has received an Honorable Mention in the "Health Care and Education Solution" and "Oracle Red Stack Solution" categories. Titan Awards were given to partners in 22 categories for solution and industry best practices.
CedarCrestone, a Platinum Partner in the Oracle® PartnerNetwork, chose to highlight one of their Higher Education clients in their nomination for the Titan Award. CedarCrestone performed a five-institution implementation of their Online Admissions Offering for the University system. "By incorporating Oracle SOA technology into the admissions application process we can, for the first time, offer a truly interactive experience for the applicant for what is often the first contact with the institution. The ability to customize the application to the requirements of the specific program means supplemental applications and follow-up with the applicant by staff members are eliminated, decreasing the time from the submission of the application to the evaluation and decision stages. Utilizing Oracle BPEL Process Manager and Oracle SOA Suite 10g processing and notification services allows real-time load to Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise on submission results in an immediate response to the applicant. "Integrations to third-party user authenticators, DMS software and payment processing services provide the applicant with a single, smooth submission process," states Lee Ann Wentzell, CedarCrestone's Director of Fusion Development. Completed in an aggressive timeline of five months, the project provided each institution with a separately branded, on-line admissions application.
