NEW YORK, Oct. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- McGraw-Hill's AccessMedicine(TM) and its related world-renowned medical learning platforms will now be available for the first time to medical personnel at all of the Department of Veterans Affairs' medical centers in a deal recently announced by McGraw-Hill Professional. With the transaction effective this month, the Department of Veteran Affairs has signed a contract for the entire suite of McGraw-Hill's Access online courses -- AccessMedicine, AccessSurgery(TM), AccessPharmacy(TM), AccessAnesthesiology(TM), AccessEmergency Medicine(TM), and AccessPhysiotherapy(TM) -- for the Veterans Affairs' medical centers, which are part of one of the largest integrated healthcare systems.
The Access platforms incorporate the content of the leading textbooks in medicine including Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine, Schwartz's Principles of Surgery, and more. They feature rich multimedia such as video and animations, continuously updated content, case files, and custom curriculum tools enabling professors to design course reading and learning, as well as testing and assessment. All six of the sites are fully compliant with Athens authentication.
