County Signs $4.1 Million Contract for Tyler's Munis® Solution
Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) today announced it has signed an agreement to provide its Munis®enterprise resource planning (ERP) software as a service (SaaS) solution to Putnam County, New York. The contract, valued at approximately $4.1 million, is for a turnkey solution that includes a subscription to software, hosting services, maintenance and support.
"Putnam County needed to replace our current systems, which were inefficient, technologically outdated, not user friendly and required countless manual entries of data," said Putnam County's Director of Purchasing, Alessandro Mazzotta. "By implementing Munis, we will be able to work more efficiently with electronic approvals and move toward being truly paperless, while utilizing a solution with a significant return on investment versus our current technology. We believe that Munis will save the county hundreds, if not thousands, of work hours and allow us to better meet the needs of our constituents by providing self-service options and access to shared information across departments."
Putnam County has subscribed to a broad range of Tyler's Munis financial, human capital management, citizen services and document management applications. The 10-year agreement for Tyler's Munis SaaS solution will eliminate Putnam County's many standalone systems and streamline the county's technology investment because Tyler will host and administer Munis from its data center in Falmouth, Maine.
"Tyler's Munis solution improves efficiency by utilizing technologies that empower citizens and employees, such as advanced workflow processes, self-service applications, central access to data from multiple programs, wizards to guide users through infrequent tasks and a paperless document management system," said Richard E. Peterson, Jr., president of Tyler's ERP & School Division. "By entering into a SaaS agreement, Putnam County can maximize the productivity of their resources while Tyler securely maintains the servers and software necessary to host the applications. We look forward to a long partnership with Putnam County."
