10-Year Agreement to Provide Services over Advanced Fiber Network
Unite Private Networks (UPN) announced today its agreement to provide data services over a fiber optic Wide Area Network (WAN) for Sheridan County School District #2 in Sheridan, Wyoming. The District signed a 10-year term agreement.
"When I first spoke to Sheridan County Schools they were frustrated with the options that had been available to upgrade their WAN. They wanted a non-blocking WAN solution so they could implement technology initiatives that provide cost savings and operational efficiencies for their district. Bottom line is they needed a bigger pipe," said Judy Gallagher-Cosgrove, Vice President Business Development for UPN. "UPN builds customized fiber networks that offer essentially unlimited bandwidth with no central offices bottlenecks."
"Our schools were starving for bandwidth. We were using a formula designated by the Wyoming Department of Education more than 7 years earlier. The technology had surpassed the provided infrastructure. UPN provided a plan for us to install gigabit fiber-optic infrastructure from day one and a path for future growth when needed," said Coree Kelly, IT Director for Sheridan County School District #2.
